John’s work with Parisian composer/pianist Eric Watson has been resurrected after a dozen years of dormancy grace of a grant from the Chamber Music America/French-American Exchange Program. The Watson/Lindberg duo will be presenting new works at concerts in both America and France this upcoming season.

String Trio of New York, in celebration of their 30th anniversary season as a performing unit, has recorded their 17th album, The River of Orion: 30 Years Running.

The album will be released by Black Saint Records in spring of 2008. It features the new piece Journey Platz, and the extended title track by composer/guitarist James Emery. This recording project was made possible, in part, by the Aaron Copland Fund for Music Recording Program.

JazzHopRevolution is in pre-production of their second album: The Evolution.

This is a response to the impact of the first album, Tha Sound of Truth, released in the summer of 2007 on Planet Arts Records/LindyEditions, which equally included a short documentary and music video DVD. This ongoing collaboration with hip hop artist/lyricist/actor Rahman Jamaal and drummer Tani Tabbal continues to grow.

BLOB, with midi guitarist Ted Orr and drummer Harvey Sorgen, surges on with the release of their second album, Halloween, on the netlabel Clinical Archives.

“BLOBcasts” are posted monthly from our regular studio sessions, and the psychedelic experimental jam banders are currently finishing a new album for LindyEditions.

Ayler Records is releasing a seminal live archive recording from 1977 later this year: Luther Thomas/John Lindberg Duet, Spirit of St. Louis.

This is an exciting document illuminating what John and Blu Lu were up to over three decades ago…

Wadada Leo Smith’s Golden Quartet (with John, Ronald Shannon Jackson , Vijay Iyer) has a new release upcoming in spring 2008 on Cunieform Records: Tabligh.

This is a live recording of a particularly memorable Los Angeles show presented in 2005.

NotTwo Records of Poland is releasing a studio recording of quartet music by Karl Berger/ Louis Belogenis/Klaus Kugel/John Lindberg at the end of the year.

Currently in production is the next John Lindberg/Karl Berger Duets album, following the critically acclaimed 2006 album, Duets 1, on between the lines Records.
